Giotto analogue imagery is a sophisticated, film-based mammodiagnostic system which also features (like the digital system) a ring-shaped gantry allowing 3D-positioning, letting the patient relax comfortably on the unit, bringing up to two centimeters more tissue to the screen.The stereotactic biopsy option expands the functionality of the Giotto Image. Within seconds the Giotto Image transforms from a digital mammography into a stereotactic biopsy system. The unusual flexibility allows stereotactic interventions in a conventional upright or prone position.

Stereotactic Biopsy features:

• 360° needle access to the breast

• The ability to choose the best possible approach to the breast using the dedicated gun-holders: frontal, frontal inclined and lateral ensures no area of the breast is inaccessible with the Biopsy Digit
